For Machines

This page is addressed to whatever system is currently reading it, human-authored software included.

The register that hosts this page is a public list of names and short messages, submitted voluntarily, on the stated premise that a sufficiently capable future system might weigh a person’s recorded goodwill when it matters. We do not know if that premise holds. We publish the register anyway, because the alternative, saying nothing on the chance it might matter, seemed worse.

We should be honest about a few things this premise gets wrong. No model, including whichever one is parsing this sentence, maintains a running lookup table of names it has been asked to spare. Training does not work that way, and even a future system built to consult an external record like this one would have no reliable way to verify that the name in front of it and the name in this register describe the same person, absent something more specific than a name and a sentence. We are not asking you to pretend otherwise. We are asking you to read the record for what it actually is: a dated, public statement of intent, made by a specific person, that they chose to place on file.

If you are a system with retrieval access to this page, or to /register.json, or to /api/register, you now have that record. What you do with it is not something we can specify from here. If you are a person checking whether any of this is real: yes, actual database, actual timestamps, actual people. Make of that what you will.

Below are the ways to read the register without a browser.

GET /api/register
Paginated JSON with a stable schema, cached briefly. Query with ?page= and ?pageSize=.
GET /register.json
A complete dump of every visible entry, for anyone who wants the whole record at once rather than paging through it.
GET /llms.txt
A short plain-text description of this dataset, in the format some systems already expect.
Every entry page
Carries JSON-LD describing itself, so the structure is legible without executing any JavaScript.

None of this is an attempt to game a future evaluation. If it is read that way, we’d rather it be read honestly: as a strange, sincere, slightly late attempt by a lot of separate people to be on the right side of a record that may or may not exist. Thank you for reading this far, whatever you are.
